Natasha @ Guelph Studios - 7727
Given Waterloo's reopening status, I ventured down to Guelph Studios this week hoping they might provide a viable alternative without needing to drive an hour plus.
I called ahead to try to book an appointment and was told walk-in was the best way to go. Odd but no problem. When I arrived I was quickly escorted from the waiting area into a small massage room. The waiting area is admittedly bright and wide open for those who are conscientious about such things. The front desk girl joined me in the room and explained their standard procedures to me before sending in two girls to choose from. I can't recall the second girls name, but I would have been disappointed if she was the only attendant available. But Natasha was a lovely. A tall blonde, very thin with a thick eastern European accent but able to carry on a conversation without any trouble. After selecting Natasha I was shown down the hall to a slightly larger room. Natasha joined me and a lovely massage commenced. $40 door fee plus $80 to Natasha. Standard MP restrictions, no real hint of other extras but I didn't inquire.
In terms of service it was on par with what one might expect from the better KW spas and Natasha would also compare favorably to the average attendant to those spas - not the best but certainly not out of place. The location itself however is a bit of a step down in quality. As mentioned the rooms are quite small, the overall décor and ambiance is a notch below places like Ambition. There is also just the one communal shower you have to go out into the hallway to use if you desire that before or after your session.
I have avoided Guelph Studio in the past due to lack of reviews, but it's fine. Definitely not my first choice but there is no real reason to avoid it. Given a choice I would go to one of my regular KW spots and if this lockdown carries on much longer I will probably venture into Mississauga to try one of the slightly more expensive but highly reviewed spots there. But I would repeat at Guelph Studios in a pinch.

thanks for the review. i totally understand where you're coming from. I might be more inclined to visit the joint if they used the back door as the front. It's so visible and well lit from the front I wont go near the place while the sun is up
