I was supposed to meet this girl for an appointment. I called her first and then we exchanged texts. She was pretty quick with the reply and seemed very friendly.

I was also upfront with a few stipulations, and a some characteristics about myself. I also said that we could cancel if it was an issue. I don't want to waste anyone's time so I figured I should be upfront.

I never heard back from her about that.

I had to changed the location of the encounter due to an unforeseen family development, and notified her. She seemed to be okay with that and asked me for the location. That response indicated that she was cool with everything, and was good to go.

Anyway, I was at the location at the agreed time, and she was a no show. Not even a reply to my text explaining anything. I mentioned in a text to her that this wouldn't be good for her rep.

She replied 2 days later saying she had a family crisis, and that she left her phone at home when she went to visit her family. She apologized as well.

I can sympathize when bad things happen, but this is your job. If I have a family crisis/emergency, I will call work and notify them that I won't be in, otherwise I might lose my job. And, I don't believe her when she said that she left her phone at home. In this day and age, leaving your phone is unheard of... unless it is a second phone that she has for this job.

Anyway, I should have seen this coming, as there was a red flag: she never gave me a rate for the hour. That should have been my first indication that something is sketchy here.

Maybe she just had a bad week, and someone else can TOFTT, but it won't be me.

In conclusion, be very careful with this one. Seems very sketchy.

haha yeah I'm new to this. So far this is the first time I've been stood up. I guess I'm lucky.

That maybe this girl leaves her work phone and brings her real phone? Why assume that they are one in the same. Most girls dont travel around with there work phone for reasons like

Dont want it to be seen
Dont want to lose it
Protect prying eyes from clients information

Just some food for thought before you jump to conclusions. Also many clients have had family emergencies and didnt call but did later to apologize. Oh and the I told her it wouldnt be good for her rep? Just what a girl wants to here a warning before a meeting.

You didn't read that right. I did mention that she might have another phone, and I also mentioned the rep thing after she stood me up. She then apologized bc she knew it would affect her business. If I didn't say anything she wouldn't have apologized. She's just not as professional as some of the other ladies. That's all. Call her at your own risk.
