The whole problem with all of this is that it has been politicized and politics gets in the way of peoples ability to think clearly about facts and evidence. Getting the vaccine should have nothing to do with your political alignment you should be able to look at the research and evidence that exists and see that this is clearly the right decision for everybody in society. I'm surprised at many of the posts indicating that blame can be attached to a group of people with the outcome of a natural disaster. Where did you even get the thought to blame another for the outcome of a pandemic? Surely you realize that we are all exposed in a pandemic, and each of us will be damaged in a different manner. In a hurricane , the old and poor suffer more than the rich and young. In a natural disaster none are immune to the outcome, some will suffer more- mother nature is the only bitch to blame. If thats the case then few unvaccinated SP’s can be in trouble if they infect John’s .

You seem to be missing some of the key points in that article.

First you need to prove a source of infection. Then you need to prove your infection is a result of negligence on their part.

The fact that you're willfully engaging in an activity that at best can be described as risky is going to work against you. Visiting an SP has some expectations of risk, including exposure to viruses and contagions.

As a fully vaccinated individual, I respect your decision to choose what's best for you. I will not judge anyone based on their vaccination status.

My father has had his second shot as of last June. Last week he tested positive for coronavirus. He stays home and his household is fully vaccinated as well. Guess we'll see what happens.

The vaccine is new, rushed, has risks, etc. It IS effective. Infection rates are down and it's not something statistically explainable without the vaccine.

You can try to say "oh I'll just be careful, not come in contact etc but still avoid the vaccine because I don't trust it" but that is just parasitic behaviour where you benefit without risk from many other people stepping up and doing what is necessary even with risk.
