Hotel / Motel issues
I am pretty sure that this is not the right place for this question/discussion and if that is the case I will gladly move or delete this- but here goes.
On the corner of Silvercreek and Woodlawn in Guelph there is a Hotel with a lobby and all that and a Motel with just the parking lot.
I hesitate going to the motel (just parking lot) because I feel really uncomfortable just standing out there in view of the parking lot/ street/ restaurant, waiting for someone to answer the door.
Am I just paranoid? What do you guys think?

Usually if you let the person know that you're coming in via text they'll be right there to open the door so you're not waiting long. It's pretty well hidden from the street with trees and anyone that's in that parking lot doesn't care about what you are doing.

the one with the parking lot is not that wide open and if you wait till youre told a room number you are not exposed too long - if you are married and live in guelph you probably should not go to either but other than that- either is fine - alternately I have a spare set of these you may borrow

though I must say that the last time it was there it looked like a marx brothers fan convention

Well you could just say Comfort Inn and Super 8, we all know what you're talking about, lol. And I agree, the Super 8 is fine to use. I'm more wary of hotels like the Comfort Inn that have a lobby because you have to walk past the front desk agent, and that guy definitely knows why you are there!

Actually that's a no-no.

It's a no-no to say something like "I saw Lucy at the Super 8 in Guelph this afternoon." Talking about which specific hotel you are more comfortable getting serviced at is fine.

I'd love to get a "ruling" on if we can name places without the girl's names..
This is going from the one time I went to the one with the sushi place and I texted and said I was heading over.. and I got a "just a second" after I knocked and stood out there for like a minute with staff walking by and restaurant patrons heading to cars and all that. freaked me right out

You could put on a baseball cap and go over with an empty pizza box.

I actually don't mind that motel.
I am much more comfortable just walking up to her door and knocking without having to navigate a lobby. Trust me - nobody cares why you are knocking on a motel room door. Not even the people who work there.
But I have been stopped in a hotel lobby and asked "are you a guest?" or "who are you visiting?". Some higher end hotels even require codes for the elevator. Nothing like having to explain to some hotel busy-body why you are there while about a dozen hotel guests watch and listen.

Why?
Nobody gave a crap what you were doing. I guarantee it. If you were walking to that restaurant would you care who was knocking on a door? Or even notice to care? And exactly what do you think anyone is going to do? Call your wife?

I have been to both locations and never felt uncomfortable at either location. One is watched by the cops regularly, but this is due to drug activity and not SP activity. I was told this by someone I trust and value the opinion of.
I also agree with most of the posters - no one cares why someone is at a hotel in a parking lot or knocking on someones door unless the hotel is a very expensive one.
Why do you feel uncomfortable at either location? If you ask yourself why and what made you uncomfortable you are likely to learn something about yourself. It might be some deep type of guilt that you are not really aware. If it is from fear that you will be caught doing something and this could wreck your life (make you lose a lot) then maybe you need to ask yourself why you want to be at the hotel? If someone has that much to lose then maybe they shouldn't be hobbying.
I know why most people hobby, but if you feel that there are large risks for yourself maybe you shouldn't.
I am not trying to discourage or encourage anyone hobbying.
I have felt odd at some locations as well, but these specific locations were fine to me.
This leads me to think the poster has some deeper reason for feeling uncomfortable.
Fun Useless Trivia: A single sperm contains 37.5 MB of DNA information. One average ejaculation represents a data transfer of 15,875 GB (15.875TB). This is approximately equivalent to the combined capacity of 31 high end MacBook Pro laptops.

I have never been asked by hotel staff why im there or been asked questions by hotel staff.... I admit after knocking on a SPs door and waiting a good 15 seconds I do get nervous and anxious and cant wait for her to open the door and let me in..But the "15 second" wait only happens about 20% of the time

Personally, I like to do the fake phone conversation. I do it walking past lobby attendants or on balconies of hotels where I have to wait or in parking lots if a police car happens to drive through. Makes me feel more casual. That and a hooded sweatshirt or ball cap and you should be good to go. If it's not 25 degrees outside, there's no reason not have a hood up.
