I am so disappointed right now

With Ambition opening a location in Toronto the original location in Cambridge will suffer.

I am sorry to say this will be true - the new location will charge Toronto prices and the best MPAs will want to work there and only there.

I commented on another thread an example - Amy is down from 36 hours/week to only 6 hours in Cambridge due to her *new* shifts in Toronto.

Ambition has been so great but unfortunately that is now over despite what assurances we might get from management

We are very sorry you feel that way, but some of that information is incorrect and we just wanted to clarify. All of the shifts remain the same in Cambridge at Ambition Spa for the most part as before. (with some of the rare exceptions like last night) Amy will keep working her regular 3 doubles as she has been.
Most of the wonderful attendants of Ambition Spa are close to Cambridge and they do want to and are going to keep that spa as their main spa :)
Hopefully we were able to clear some things up.

Hey NWG, I responded to your other thread as well...quick notes:

-The tips for the ladies in the room are the same between the spa's. Tanya and I had a chance to chat today while I waited for my appointment and the new website is causing confusion - the amount currently listed is the door fee and tip included together - she's going to fix that asap. The tip I gave in the new location today was the same I would give in Cambridge.

-I can agree for the first short period of time while the new spa is launched the existing roster is spread out over the two locations. Give Tanya time to hire new ladies, of the same caliber and quality I'm sure (she's been doing so well for 5? years now, can't see that changing now) and everything will balance out.

To be fair, pick this conversation up in 30-60 days and see how things are working out. It's not fair to make judgement now only a few days into the new spa being launched, just give it time.

Thanks for the heads up NWG. Hopefully it doesn't happen. I agree with suggestion to wait a while before concluding that it's a done deal.

The first sign og NWG thoery is showing thru as of this writing. Amy is listed as "off" on camb site, however she is working in toronto friday morning and all day Sunday Nov. 29. I have not noticed any T.O. Ladies working in Camb so...

Amy and her schedule have nothing to do with wanting to work in Cambridge or Toronto.
Totally different issue.
I won't go any further you'll just have to trust me.

I do, however, feel the need to backtrack my original statement - it does look like Tanya is keeping the schedule balanced and there are a few girls who have no interest in the Toronto location and would rather work entirely in Cambridge. Having said that; they realize that they need to put in shifts at both locations.

Personally, I think Ambition is the most professionally run spa in the province. They are definitely on the right track and I wouldn't be surprised to see more locations opened in the future. I might even invest if the opportunity arose.

Puffy... Let's not panic yet. For this coming week, Amy is on the Cambridge schedule for Monday and Wednesday day shifts and all day Saturday.

I have to say that Tanya is doing a fine job managing the two locations. I haven't really noticed a drop in service of any kind in Cambridge and the Toryork spot seems very nice - as one would expect. Apart from a limited or missing selection of photos on the Toryork site, Ambition continues to be a hallmark operation in both locations.
Amy has left the profession... (for now?)
